Goldsmith is run by Smith Block Markets. This page says who we are, why the service costs you nothing, and where our money comes from instead.
Who runs it
Justin (Ben) Smith, founder of Smith Block Markets, based in Dubai. Smith Block Markets builds rules-based trading systems and runs them on clients' own broker accounts.
Goldsmith trades gold (XAU/USD) using two rules-based systems, The Anvil and The Hammer. Both run on your own Vantage account, and you keep sight of every trade in your own MT4 or MT5 app.
Why it is free
There is no subscription, no performance fee and no share of your profits. That will not change.
Here is how we are paid instead. We are a Vantage introducing broker and receive a rebate from Vantage per trade. It never comes out of your deposit or profits.
An introducing broker is someone who sends clients to a brokerage. The brokerage pays the introducer a share of the trading costs it already charges. You pay Vantage the same spread, and on some account types a commission, that you would pay trading on your own. Vantage then passes a small part of that to us from its own side.
This is why you have to register through our link. It is the only way your account gets connected to us, and it is the only way we get paid. If you already hold a Vantage account, you can transfer it to our IB number, 24007801, from inside your client portal.
Your money
Your funds stay in your own account at Vantage, in your name. We get trading access and nothing more. Withdrawals go only to your own verified account, and only you can start one. We never hold your money.
What we do not do
- We do not give financial advice, and nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
- We do not take deposits, hold client money, or accept payment from you.
- We do not offer Goldsmith to US persons.
- We do not promise a return. Gold trading on leverage is high risk and you can lose some or all of your deposit.
